Please find attached the provisional list of award winners for the 2017 Championship. These will be declared final 7 days after receipt.

Our Awards Presentation Night will be held at Hagley Golf and Country Club, Wassell Grove Lane, Hagley. DY9 9JW on Friday 19th January 2018 from 7.00 pm onwards. Guest speakers will be Paul Dyas and Stuart Derry. It would be lovely to see all award winners there to collect their rewards.

We are very pleased to announce the provisional calendar for the Heart of England 2018 Championship as per the attached flier (pending MSA permit approval).

Time has unfortunately been too short to put in any changes for 2018 however options are open for the 2019 Championship and, where possible, we hope to take into account competitor feedback when planning future championships. Thank you to those competitors who have taken the the time to provide feedback already. The results of the latest survey are also attached. As Championship Secretaries we feel it is vitally important to receive feedback on events so that improvements can be made for competitors, where possible. It is envisaged that competitors will be asked for feedback following each event as we move through the year by way of a short questionnaire. Hopefully we can then build on the excellent work that has been done over the years to attract even more registrations.

We will be providing regular updates via email, our Facebook page and the AWMMC website and would like you to provide competition photographs to use throughout the year. Please feel free to forward these to the Championships Secretaries via Facebook or email as above.

We are very grateful to our Sponsors whom have agreed to continue for a further year – Paul Dyas (DMACK) and Steve Blackham Motorsport. Sponsorship is incredibly hard to find in the current economic climate and we are therefore extremely appreciative of their support.

We would also like to thank the organisers of all of our designated events for allowing us to use their event as part of our championship.

Championship regulations are still awaiting formal approval from the MSA although are largely based on those for 2017. These will be circulated as soon as possible however you can register your championship interest with Sue Walmesley at the email address above. You will note a slight change to the regulations from previous years in that there is a provision to alter a date of an event that uses MoD property should that date become unavailable due to military usage without having to undertake the usual authorisation via the MSA. Hopefully this will enable the championship to have a full calendar however some circumstances are beyond the control of the championship.

Event Regulations for our first round of the Championship at Brean Stages will be available soon and you are advised to keep an eye on the website although competitors who were registered in 2017 should receive these in the post. Both Championship Secretaries will be at the event at signing on. Do please remember that you must be signed on before the event to be in a position to be awarded championship points.

The Jasper's Bakeries AGBO Stages Rally 2018 will see a change. The event will run as a two day event. The AGBO Historic Stages will run on the Saturday and the AGBO Stages on Sunday 18th March 2017, which will incorporate the Heart of England championship competitors. We are hoping that this will allow all competitors a chance to compete and not leave anybody disappointed with the demand for entries as has happened in previous years. As soon as the date for regulations to be available has been confirmed you will be informed.

Please feel free to contact either of the Championship secretaries if you have any queries, concerns or comments.

See you all in January.
